Noblesville Common Council Votes To Rescind City's Burn Ban

This ban applied within the city limits of Noblesville while the Hamilton County burn ban that was rescinded yesterday covered the unincorporated parts of Hamilton County. The city's requirements regarding open burning and consumer fireworks return to the following:
· Open burning is not allowed. However, per Ordinance 50-10-09, recreational, ceremonial, camp, or pep rally fires are approved as long as an open burn permit is secured in advance from the Noblesville Fire Department. There is no fee for the open burn permit.
· Consumer fireworks usage: While the emergency ban no longer exists for consumer fireworks usage within city limits, per Ordinance 50-10-09, consumer fireworks may only be shot off from a person's private property and may only be used in the Noblesville city limits during the following days and times:
a. Between the hours of 5pm and two hours after sunset on June 29, June 30, July 1, July 2, July 3, July 5, July 6, July 7, July 8, and July 9.
b. Between the hours of 10am and 12 midnight on July 4
c. Between the hours of 10am on December 31 and 1am on January 1.
