Where is The Meadows located? How large and how old is the neighborhood? What type of amenities will we find in the subdivision?
The Meadows began in 1993 on the site of an old farm and is one of the larger subdivisions in Noblesville, located on the northeast corner of SR 37 and 191st Street. The subdivision was originally developed by The Precedent Companies and was constructed in six (6) phases by five (5) different builders. The final phase was completed in 2002. There are two (2) entrances into the subdivision, both found on 191st Street. We are connected to the neighboring subdivision, Roudebush Woods, via Upland Way, which then provides two (2) additional access points through that subdivision - another along 191st Street, and one (1) more on Promise Road, just to the east (not shown on the map).
Our neighborhood is comprised of a total of 533 single-family homes and features approximately 23 acres of common area green space, ponds, parkland, and play equipment amenities such as our pool, basketball court, and playground. Next to the playground and basketball court is a large playfield, sometimes used for community events such as movie nights, pitch-ins, and more. At the front of the neighborhood, just off the main entrance, you'll find Canal Park, which is an approximately 300-foot-long section of the historic "Central Canal", which dates back to 1839. You can learn more about the central canal project which was originally designed as a transportation improvement project for the state of Indiana.
